HISTORY BITS UK

     This site is a collection of various bits of historical research carried out over a number of years, (decades actually), and mostly centered around the places that I have lived, (Hose in Leicestershire, Gunnerside in Swaledale and Hempshill near Nottingham), historical events with a family connection, (the capture of Martinique during the Napoleonic Wars), things that I have been asked to help with, (HMS Saxifrage / President), and things where I have been provoked to produce something, (the History of Britain in 18 lessons).

     To access them simply click on the list on the right, (some of them can take a bit of loading), and then scroll down.

     I have found them interesting, hopefully some of you will do so as well.
